The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has announced that the Nigerian Army will confront growing security challenges with new combat technologies, stronger troop welfare, and institutional reforms. Speaking at the close of the COAS Bi-Annual Conference in Abuja, Lt Gen Shaibu revealed that the service has acquired additional TB2 drones and is expanding the Nigerian Army Aviation for combat operations.

The new capabilities are already improving intelligence gathering, surveillance, precision strikes, and casualty evacuation in ongoing military operations across the country. This morning, we examine a military committed to transformation and the soldiers who will wield these new tools.
