I was trying to grab some things when I saw Arvin grab our dog, Tala. Instead of running to the rescue team, he lifted her on his shoulders and walked straight into the deep water. I yelled to get him to stop, but he kept holding Tala tight so she wouldn’t fall. Step by step, he advanced through the strong current until he reached a rescue truck.
