The first two quarters of 2016 witnessed the passing away of about 18 Nigerian celebrities.
Now, We remembers a host of Nollywood actresses who have sadly died this year.
1. Henrietta Kosoko
Henrietta passed away on Monday June 6, a year after the actress survived a near-fatal accident along Sagamu-Abeokuta road.
2. Genevieve Nene
The rising actress died on Sunday May 1, 2016 just as she was recuperating from typhoid fever.
3. Aisha Dankano
The Kannywood star died after a brief illness in Kano on Tuesday, February 23.
4. Kudirat Ajimat
The Abeokuta based actress passed on, on November 15 and she was buried according to Islamic rites same day.
5. Bukky Ajayi
Bukky Ajayi died at the age of 82 in July 2016, three months after she was celebrated with Lifetime Achievement award at the African Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards.
