EME Boss Banky W Tells The Story How His Lekki Home Was Razed By Fire Destroying His Belongings

News reaching us is that fire has gutted the home of Nigerian singer and EME boss Banky W.

According to news report from Punch newspaper, a property located along Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos where popular singer, Banky W, lives has been destroyed by fire.

The fire is believed to has been caused by a faulty air conditioner as reported by one of the neighbours.

Also, the fire allegedly started around 6:00 AM this morning.

A resident said, “The fire started around 6am and all of us came out to assist Banky in putting out the fire.

“However, Fire service officials arrived around 7.30am.

“So many items were destroyed including Banky’s awards. But officials of the fire service arrived over an hour late.”

Earlier, we reported of the singer cum actor’s Lekki house being set on fire – he has now, on his Instagram shared what happened and how he’s grateful to be alive.

He shared the photo above with the caption:

So there’s good news and bad news. The good news is… I’m thanking God that I’m alive to give the bad news as a testimony. Bad news is… I was laying awake in bed at about 6am , and I just started smelling smoke.

Stood up to shut off my tv and ac and realized it was coming from outside my door. Opened it to see the whole stairway was filled with huge gusts of black smoke/soot, and a fire was burning stuff downstairs.

The smoke was so much I couldn’t get down past it to see the source of the flames. Rushed back into my room and climbed down from the 2nd floor balcony with my dog… and then got help from the amazing workers and neighbours who helped me put out the flames.

Turns out the ac in the living room had caught fire.. I know a lot of ppl have been trying to call and I appreciate it.

Maybe the fire burnt some of the network in the house because I can’t receive calls LOL , but instead of calling to say sorry pls just maybe say a prayer and thank God with me.

Thank God I was awake to smell the smoke. Thank God we caught it early enough and the damage wasn’t so bad.. it basically burnt some of the stuff that was around it. So awards, portraits, and some small electronics.

But thank God, Duke and I are alive and well. We only had to form James Bond and climb down from the top floor balcony LOL Thank God for my neighbors and the amazing workers in and around the compound for helping us escape via the balcony, helping put out the fire, and helping with the aftermath/cleaning. Thank God for life.

And I’m not even upset.. I’m just grateful for life and health and for the grace and mercy of God on my life. I figure I’m about to have the best year ever so the devil tried to throw a tantrum. But not today Satan. Not today, not ever. Now sit back and watch me be great. By God’s grace.Amen. God bless you all.

I don’t agree nudity is encouraging and it’s exactly what has taken over the entertainment industry because everybody wants to sell his/her song. But it’s just a way of giving a bite different from your day to day personalities. I’m not saying one should get naked but you just have to give your fans the best.

For instance, the way I dress when going onstage is quite different from the way I dress on a normal day. I always like to look sexy while performing and it’s a way of giving my fans the best.

Reminisce Shuts Down Lagos Mainland With His Star Studded ‘The Street Concert’ (See Interesting Photos)

Self styled Indeginous rapper, Remilekun Khaled Safaru Aka Reminisce made it a night to remember for Music lovers in Lagos Mainland on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Ikeja City Mall, Lagos where the maiden edition of The Street Concert by Reminisce was staged.

The music was heavy, wavy and loud as Reminisce and Industry friends made sure they gave back to the street that kept on supporting them all these years.

Just as expected, the show kicked off with the emerging acts who rocked the stage with their personal hit tracks, while some looked jittery, others were dimensional and took over the stage like they own it.

Then later came the man of the moment Reminisce in his first outing of the night which turned out awful due to poor sound quality. Even though Reminisce carried on like there’s nothing wrong, but the crowd obviously weren’t feeling the headlining act’s performance as there was no cheering sound as just some awkward silence from the audience was observed.

Then there was the launching of the new ‘Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime Plus’ limited edition which was coordinated by the ‘Alaga ibile’ himself together with some officials of the smartphone brand in which he is an ambassador of.

Other artists such as talented rapper Seriki who came out dripping in some Shiny Gold chains followed Eva Alordiah who gave a renowned performances of her songs ‘Deaf’ and ‘Kanayo’, before going into a swift inspiring mode where she took out time to lift and motivate the obviously surging crowd by telling them not to ever give up on their dreams no matter what life brings before them.

We later have other emerging acts such as the New school Fuji Trap and Hip-Hop act Terry Apala who gave a fair performance of his mini hit ‘Champagne showers’ and then we have Davido’s DMW new recruit, Yonda who performed his debut song ‘Las Vegas’ to the delight of those who can reckon with the song. His performance was followed by that of some decent acts such as Aquila records Baseone and Airboy, Capital Hill’s Mz Kiss, Ms. Chief, Chocolate City’s Ckay and Olawale of Project Fame and Comic act ‘Woliarole’ who all came out in turns to do what they know how to do best.

And on the wheels of steel was Reminisce’s Les Roses Rogue’s DJ Instinct’ ,City FM’s DJ Gunzee, YBNL’s DJ Enimoney, Chocolate City’s DJ Lambo, DJ Spinall who all took turns to keep the crowd in a frenzy mood all night long.

Reminisce came through with his second appearance of the night and was later joined by Seriki and Ola Dips for the performance of their hit street cypher ‘Feego’ and then came YBNL henchman, Olamide Baddosneh whose presence almost erupted the whole place with screams, cheers and shouts of his ever loyal street fans.

Reminisce left the stage for Olamide to take over after they’ve performed Reminisce’s ‘Local Rapper’ together. Baddo then later performed his hit records back to back from old to the new ones which of course includes the latest ‘Pepper dem Gang’ which brought his newly signed act ‘Davolee’ to the stage and had the fans cheering and vibing good to his songs. Davolee later performed his ‘Festival bar’ joint.

Other acts like Falz, Niniola, Dapo Tuburna, Harrysong, Big Sheff, Lord of Ajasa, Dremo, Mayorkun, Orezi , CDQ, Small Doctor, Koker, Wale Turner, Sexy Steel, Reekado Banks, Ycee, Viktoh and Oladips among others also came and showed love on the night.

Reminisce came out for his third and final round of performance but couldn’t go on for long due to time challenge as it was already a few minutes to midnight, and that bring us to a temporary end of the show because we later have Oleku crooner, Ice Prince Zamani who came in late but made up swiftly by dazzling the fans with gifts and a decent performance that brought the show to a perfect conclusion.

All in all, The Street Concert by Reminisce was a decent attempt for a free show and one couldn’t help but wonder how more glamorous it could have been, had it been it was a paid event.

Meet the 19-year-old who won Miss Rwanda 2017 (Photos)

19-year-old Elsa Iradukunda was on Saturday, February 25, 2017, named the Miss Rwanda 2017 in a tight competition from 15 finalists.

Iradukunda, a senior-six graduate from King David High School, who represented the Northern Province in the preliminaries, emerged the topmost contender for the beauty pageant which held at the Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village.

She defeated Guelda Shimwa, who came as the first runner-up, followed by Linda Umutoniwase and was crowned by Miss Rwanda 2016, Jolly Mutesiat.

For the first time in the history of Miss Rwanda pageant, all the 15 finalists were given full scholarships by the organizers to pursue undergraduate degrees at Mahatma Ghandhi University.

ISIS employs new killing tactic, straps explosive suicide belt to a puppy

ISIS have now moved on from strapping children with suicide belts to strapping animals and sending them into the midst of people to get exploded.

This new tactic was uncovered by Iraqi rebel groups involved in the fight against ISIS after they discovered a puppy with the weapon strapped to it and helped to diffuse the bomb thereby freeing the animal.
The plan had been for the dog to cross to the rival forces where it will then be detonated with a remote device, but the rebel group was able to foil the plan and shared a video online. The explosive was made from several bottles connected by some electrical wires, designed to kill or injure up to four people.

Movie World Mourns As Popular Hollywood Actor Known For His Role In ‘Titanic’ Dies (Photos)

Popular Hollywood actor, Bill Paxton, whose extensive career included films such as “Twister,” “Aliens” and “Titanic,” has died, a representative for his family said in a statement. He was 61.

“It is with heavy hearts we share the news that Bill Paxton has passed away due to complications from surgery,” a family representative said in a statement.

“A loving husband and father, Bill began his career in Hollywood working on films in the art department and went on to have an illustrious career spanning four decades as a beloved and prolific actor and filmmaker.

“Bill’s passion for the arts was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth and tireless energy were undeniable. We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their adored husband and father.”

Moments after news of Paxton’s death broke, social media lit up with tributes to the versatile actor.

Actor, Rob Lowe called Paxton a dear friend and “Renaissance man.”

“Devastated by the sudden loss of my close friend and one of the finest actors in the business, Bill Paxton,” Lowe tweeted.

Paxton was currently starring in the CBS drama “Training Day,” which premiered Feb. 2. The network has not yet announced whether it will continue to air the completed episodes.

Paxton is survived by his wife of 30 years, Louise Newbury, and their two children. His first marriage, to Kelly Rowan, ended in divorce
