After TheCable visit, FCTA clears dumpsite — but residents are not convinced it will last Twelve days after visiting the Karu dumpsite in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to document the worrying, ever-expanding garbage heap and the adverse effects it is having on the surrounding community, TheCable returned to see if changes had been made. The dumpsite, previously forming a tall heap that spilled into the road, had significantly reduced, and the stench that made breathing uncomfortable was no longer as heavy in the air. At a glance, the difference between the dump’s current state and what it was the week before is visible.
