Are you aware that states can build ports, and that the very Akwa-Ibom state you are referring to is currently constructing a state-owned port known as Ibom Deep Sea Port? Additionally, Ondo, Cross Rivers and Edo states are all at varying stages of building their own state-owned ports. Finally, private individuals and companies are building their own private facilities, including Alhaji Aliko Dangote, who has constructed a port at his refinery and is currently building a deep-sea port that will be the largest in Nigeria upon completion. Other corporations, such as AP Moller, also built private terminals in Lagos. Bernard, please note that ports can be built by your state, and that whether there is a port or not, the Igbos will always be welcome anywhere in Nigeria, as they are a much-loved, enterprising people who are our brothers and sisters.
