Gary Sinise (aka Lt. Dan) is an absolute national treasure. Every year, his foundation loads up 15+ private planes with over 1,000 children who have lost a parent in the military. He flies them all to Disney World for an all-expenses-paid trip called the "Snowball Express." For 5 days, these Gold Star families get to just be kids again, bond with others who understand their loss, and know that their parents' sacrifices are never forgotten. We need more people like Gary in the world.
