In the “End of an Era” docuseries, Andrea recalls seeing headlines about Travis’ interest in Taylor. She then called a cousin who is an “expert” on the Kansas City Chiefs for the scoop on the tight end. “She said, ‘Oh, my God. He’s the nicest guy. And you know what? He really loves his mom, [Donna Kelce],’” Andrea recalls. “I went, ‘Ding, ding, ding!’ Now, how in the world am I gonna get her to meet him?” Taylor remembers, “You called me up with this tone of, ‘Hey, so I know you’re not gonna react well to this. But there’s a guy.’ You said something to the effect of, ‘You’ve got to start doing something different.’” Andrea also mentions Travis’ gesture of bringing a friendship bracelet with his phone number to one of Taylor’s Kansas City concerts. “It was so earnest,” she gushes. “I thought it was the sweetest thing in the world that he came to your show, he brought you something from your world… I liked it.”
