Today at the 19th Annual Town Hall Meeting of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, we focused on what drives our progress. Security grows when people trust their institutions and work together. Government alone cannot carry this responsibility, the private sector, communities, and every resident play a vital role. Security shapes our economy, our quality of life, and the confidence of those who live and invest here. The Trust Fund continues to stand out by uniting government, businesses, and citizens to deliver real impact, from improved patrol capacity to surveillance tools and strengthened cybersecurity. These investments are paying off. For four years, Lagos has recorded no bank robberies. Home invasions have been stopped, suspects arrested, and weapons recovered. We’ve also deepened collaboration among security agencies and strengthened community intelligence through the Neighbourhood Safety Corps. Our efforts complement national reforms led by His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose commitment to modernising security institutions supports our progress. Looking ahead, we will expand technology, improve coordination, stay transparent, and prepare for emerging threats. I call on all stakeholders, businesses, community leaders, civil society, and every Lagosian to remain engaged and vigilant. The safety of our people is the foundation of our prosperity, and we will continue building a Lagos that is secure, confident, and full of opportunity for all.
