Founded in 2018 by Rashida Vapiwala , Mumbai-based LabelBlind is digitising one of the most manual parts of the food industry—regulatory labelling. Its SaaS platform FolSol uses AI and rule-based checks to generate fully compliant food labels, reducing a process that once took weeks to just 60–100 seconds. How it works: FolSol validates formulations, nutrition tables, ingredients, and declarations using proprietary databases and Indian plus global regulations, now spanning 12+ countries. Who uses it: Clients include Tata Starbucks, Amul, Everest Spices, Bikano, ITC Hotels, Tim Hortons India, and Mother’s Recipe. Over 40 Indian companies use the platform, many exporting to the US, UK, EU, Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Scale & plans: Backed by $500,000 from HNIs, LabelBlind reported a 21-member team and aims to serve 500–600 companies in three years. It plans to expand compliance coverage to 50 countries and roll out QR-based dynamic labels and real-time translations. Read more, from link in comments.
