Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is urged to initiate reforms within the Lagos State Task force arresting motorcycles in Lagos . Several motorcycle riders have been wounded and killed during arrests of bikes in most areas of Lagos where motorcycles are not banned; they go to the gate of estates and streets to chase and seize bikes 🏍️ Most banned areas for motorcycles in lagos are mostly used by the Nigeria Police Force, HQ Nigerian Army officers and bikes that belonging to Lagos task force police officers. Those bikes that belonged to taskforce officers are bikes seized by the taskforce and shared among themselves, even each task force officers has nothing less than 5 to 10 motorcycles working for them on Lagos roads, and outside the state. If you go to Idumota, CMS, Lagos Island, Mile 2, Iyana Iba, Amuwo Odofin, Apapa, Ikeja, along ,Lagos Mainland, Surulere, Eti-Osa, Oshodi, Mushin, and all major highways and bridges, you'll see most police and Nigerian Army personnel operating motorcycles for commercial purposes freely. You'll never see the state task force arrest their bikes, But They'll go to unbanned streets and estates with gates for deadly operations. Lagos State Taskforce CSP Akerele is one of the most pretentious officers I've ever seen. He drops the contact of his closest officer to negotiate with buyers, and anyone who has a contact inside that comes for his bike release. Any bikes they bring in after an operation and want to give out to buyers after a few months, or release to the owners after paying a huge amount of money, they do it early in the morning or at night to keep people's eyes away. Civilian touts working with the Lagos State Task Force are committing a lot of crimes; they come out at night with weapons and tear gas to steal bikes from riders by chasing them with tear gas and weapons. Babajide Sanwo-Olu's administration should consider reforming the Lagos State Taskforce that arrests bike riders in Lagos. Copied from: Sheriffdeen Ojon Omo Eko
