Offset has officially paid off a $1.5 million tax debt that Uncle Sam demanded — all while his bitter divorce from Cardi B continues to drag on. According to court records, the Internal Revenue Service filed documents on December 26, 2025, releasing a lien that accused Offset of owing $1,575,266.73 in unpaid taxes for the 2022 tax year. The lien was originally filed on April 3, 2024, but with the bill now paid in full, Offset’s overall tax debt has been reduced substantially. The timing hasn’t gone unnoticed. Back in September 2025, Cardi publicly spoke about her split from Offset, alleging that tax issues were one of the main reasons their divorce was taking so long. “The only reason why I’m still married is because somebody wants me to pay for their taxes,” she claimed. “The only way I can get out of my marriage is if I pay for somebody else’s taxes — even though I pay for my own — and give them one of my properties. I’m fighting for that. This is not no love s***.” Now that Offset’s IRS debt is cleared, fans are wondering: does this finally move the divorce forward — or is there more financial drama still on the way? 👀
