BAUCHI STATE @50: GOVERNOR BALA PLANS BAUCHI TO LEAD NORTH EAST ECONOMY BY 2033 Bauchi State Governor Bala Muhammad has expressed optimism over the long term plans of his administration to build a framework which would make the state lead North East in economic and infrastructural development by the year 2033. The Governor stated this at a public lecture marking the fifty year anniversary of the state held at International Conference Centre Bauchi. Zainab Agboola reports that the Lecture brought both past military administrators and democratically elected Governors of the state from it's creation in 1976, and delegation of the European Union. The golden jubilee lecture revealed the long term plans of the Bauchi state Government to build a framework to attract more investors that will lead to the development of economic and infrastructural needs of the state. Past military and civilian Governors of the state who formed part of the discussants emphasized on the need to prioritise the future of Bauchi state irrespective of party and other divisional factors Honoring the past and building the future which aims at promoting structural value for Bauchi state is the theme of the lecture.
