The Nigerian Army recently received a substantial number of French made Panhard PVP HD (Heavy duty) armoured vehicles from France. It has a gross vehicle weight of 7.6 tonnes, a payload capacity of 2 tonnes, and a spacious internal cabin. This is a significantly heavier and more amoured vehicle compared to the Panhard VBL M11 light armoured reconnaissance vehicle the Nigerian army already operates.
