AFCSS IBADAN EMERGES THIRD BEST SECONDARY SCHOOL NATIONWIDE AS CAS COMMENDS EXCELLENCE The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has congratulated Air Force Comprehensive Secondary School (AFCSS), Ibadan, for emerging as the Third Overall Best Secondary School nationwide during the 25th Anniversary Celebration of the National Examinations Council (NECO). The award, presented at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja, recognised the school’s outstanding performance in the Senior School Certificate Examination (Internal) from 2000 to 2025, underscoring its sustained record of academic excellence and high educational standards. Receiving the award on behalf of the institution was the Commandant of AFCSS Ibadan, Group Captain Frank Yusuf, while the representative of the Director of Education, Headquarters Nigerian Air Force, Group Captain Gabriel Shainjo, also attended the event alongside management and staff of NECO, professors, and representatives of educational institutions across the country. The recognition further reflects the growing reputation of Nigerian Air Force educational institutions as centres of excellence committed to nurturing future leaders through quality education and character development. The CAS described the achievement as a testament to the Nigerian Air Force’s unwavering commitment to human capital development and the provision of conducive learning environments across its schools nationwide.
