There is a powerful lesson to draw from Pope Leo XIV’s first international visit as the new Catholic leader. His decision to travel first to Turkey and then proceed to Lebanon, both Muslim-majority countries, speaks louder than any long speech. It shows that his leadership is all about building bridges and reaching out with respect to those of different faiths and cultures. I don’t have to say much, the message is already clear.

This photo was actually taken in 1999 at the Transcorp Hilton while having lunch with a Fulani friend of mine from Katsina. Then he was a representative. He eventually rose to become an ambassador. This Guinea brocade was highly treasured by me then in my ignorance. I stopped wearing Guinea brocade after I discovered it was imported. I never knew. I assumed it was made in Nigeria. But I still proudly wear the Zanna cap. I have so many. They are among my most prized possessions. Even if you are not good-looking, once you wear a Zanna cap, you become more handsome. As for Islam, the issue is ignorance. If my fellow Southerners know Islam and Mutanen Arewa as I do, they will fall in love without necessarily saying the Shahada. God used Muslim Fulani men to raise both my late father and me. And in terms of integrity, honesty, and duty, I have found Arewa Muslims to be more forthcoming than any other group in the Nigerian project. Some of the happiest times of my life were the period I stayed with the Fulani in Nguroje, on the Mambilla Plateau in Taraba. Sadly, some of my beloved adopted kin there were killed during the Mambilla massacre. May God grant them al-Jannah Firdaus! Reno Omokri Gospeller. Deep Thinker. #TableShaker. Northern Governors Delay Regional Security Summit Amid North-West Security Talks The 19 governors from Nigeria's northern states, under the Northern Governors Forum, have postponed their planned security summit originally set for November 29, 2025, in Kaduna. The gathering was intended to address the escalating wave of terrorist violence across the region, particularly the recent surge in attacks and kidnappings in areas of Niger, Kebbi, and Kwara states. The delay stems from a conflicting commitment: the seven governors from the north-west zone are instead participating in a dedicated security dialogue with the Senate Committee on Security. This alternative forum is centered on the zone's ongoing challenges, including banditry and terrorism, and seeks to strengthen ties between state authorities and federal security forces through better intelligence collaboration and faster operational responses. The now-postponed Kaduna meeting had been publicized earlier in the week by Peter Ahemba, senior special assistant on public affairs to Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule. Ahemba described the event as a platform for forging a shared security roadmap and unified action plan, with prominent traditional leaders also slated to attend. He emphasized, "The meeting aims to develop a unified approach to tackling security concerns affecting the region and discuss the way forward on security matters." He further urged public involvement, stating, "It is the duty of citizens to help deal with security threats in our country and state. Therefore, citizens must do well by providing security agencies with relevant information about individuals with criminal tendencies."

Yesterday , I attended the 2025 Isimi Lagos Festival, The King’s Cup, at the Isimi Lagos Wellness and Polo Country Estate in Epe, where I opened the tournament with the traditional throw-in. It was a pleasure spending time with everyone who came out to support the event. I look forward to seeing the Isimi Lagos community continue to grow and contribute to the creativity and connection we are building across our state.

According to APC Data-Boiz, Mallam El-Rufai doesn't have any political relevance and he won't pose any threats to Tinubu re-election because he didn't delivered Kaduna to Tinubu 2023 even when he is Kaduna Governor. Well let dived into political analysis of the above assertion. In the last Presidential election 2023, Mallam Nasiru El-Rufai didn't win Kaduna for APC is well understood but we can't denied the fact that he played a vital role by commanding above 40% votes to APC in the election. Vivid reminder that, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu the Presidential candidate of APC didn't delivered his state, lagos state to APC he lost his home to unstructured Labour Party. Sen. Abdullahi Adamu the former national chairman of APC didn't win Nasarawa his state for APC. Former Nigeria President Muhammad Buhari didn't delivered Katsina to APC. Former National Chairman of APC Adam Oshiomhole didn't win Edo State for APC. Umar Ganduje the recent chased-Out national chairman of APC lost His state as a sitting Governor to NNPP of Kwankwaso. The present national chairman of APC Prof. Nantawe didn't delivered Plateau State to APC and the list goes on. By their logic both Tinubu, Adam Oshiomhole, Ganduje, Prof. Nantawe, Abdullahi Adamu, Don't have political relevance. But guest what all these people get relevance, only Mallam El-Rufai don't have relevance. We must force them to learn politics 101 by force 2027. As your Political Analyst my advice to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remain the same, resign to save ursef from national shame. Your Political Analyst: Haruna Salihu Akpo.
