BREAKING: OSUN POLICE NAB NOTTOURIOUS CULT LEADER BASIT, 5 GANG MEMBERS OVER DEADLY ATTACK APC LEADERS

The Anti-Cultism Unit of the Nigeria Police Force, Osun State Command, has arrested Amokeaja Basit (alias “Basit”) and five members of his gang in Ijesha, Osun State. Basit, who had been wanted for over five years in connection with multiple murder cases, was apprehended following a violent attack on APC leaders on March 23, 2026. The victims of the attack included Hon. Wole Awofolaju, Hon. Seun Fadunsin, Hon. Remi Omowaye, and Hon. Segun Olabode. Arrested alongside Basit were Olatunde Segun, Adeyeye Suji, Babatunde Lekan, and Olayinka Laide.
