United States returns 48 ancient Egyptian artifacts to them from three historical eras. The FBI handed the artifacts to Egyptian officials during a ceremony in Los Angeles on Friday, August 21. The collection includes carved figures, jewellery, statues, amulets, funerary objects, tomb equipment and ancient inscriptions dating from three major periods of Egyptian history, the Pharaonic, Roman and Coptic eras. The FBI said an investigation found that all 48 objects originated from Egypt and had no record of being legally removed from the country. The return is part of ongoing US-Egypt cooperation on protecting cultural heritage. #africanfolder
