Suspected Abuja Bomber, Charles Okah Goes On Hunger Strike; Sues FG

Charles Okah, alleged mastermind of the 2010 Independence Day bomb blasts in Abuja, has embarked on hunger strike in protest of his alleged ill-treatment by officials of Kuje Prison.

Okah who has been in prison custody since 2010 has also threatened to file a suit demanding N5 billion damages from the Federal Government.

Disclosing this in a letter by his counsel, Timi Okponipere, dated January 21, which was addressed to the Minister of Interior, Abdulraman Dambazau, Okah claimed that the officer in charge of the Kuje Prison, Musa Tanko, has persistently harassed and intimidated him.

The letter reads, “At the time of writing this letter, our client is as emaciated as a bean pole on account of the hunger strike he has embarked upon, to draw global attention to his plight,”

“Figuratively speaking, our client is virtually a dead man. If our client dies in prison custody, the entire world, particularly the Ijaw nation and the Niger Delta where our client hails from, shall rise in unison against President Muhammadu Buhari’s government, even as we concede the fact that, our client’s ordeal began during the tenure of former President Goodluck Jonathan, a fellow Ijaw.”

Two Virginia Tech students charged in death of 13-year-old girl

Two Virginia Tech engineering students were in custody on Sunday, one charged with abducting and killing a 13-year-old girl and the other accused of helping to dispose of the teenager's body, police said.
The arrests came on Saturday after police, following a four-day search, found the remains of Nicole Lovell in North Carolina, about 90 miles (145 km) south of Blacksburg, Virginia, where her home and the university are located.
Lovell had been missing from her family's home since Wednesday. A family member told the Roanoke Times it appeared she had climbed out of a first-floor window.

It was not immediately clear how she crossed paths with David Eisenhauer, 18, a freshman from Columbia, Maryland, and member of the university's cross-county team.

But police in Blacksburg, about 40 miles (64 km) west of Roanoke, Virginia, said investigators had determined the two teens became acquainted before her disappearance. Eisenhauer took advantage of that relationship to abduct and kill Lovell, they said in a statement.
Police have not said how Lovell died.

Eisenhauer was arrested at his campus residence on Saturday, first charged with abduction and then accused of murder after Lovell's remains were discovered near a highway in Surry County, North Carolina.

A star Maryland high school athlete before coming to Virginia Tech, Eisenhauer was named the Howard County Times/Columbia Flier Indoor Track Athlete of the year, according to a 2015 profile in the Baltimore Sun.

Natalie Marie Keepers, 19, a sophomore at Virginia Tech from Laurel, Maryland, was arrested on Sunday and charged with improper disposal of a dead body and accessory after the fact in the commission of a felony.

"I'm so in shock I know nothing more to say," the victim's father, David Lovell, said on Facebook. "I'm broken!"

Family members had pleaded for Nicole Lovell's return, saying she was without the prescription medicine she needed daily after undergoing a liver transplant.
Authorities said they were working to piece together the events leading to Lovell's death.

A Virginia Tech spokeswoman would not comment on the enrollment status of Eisenhauer and Keepers, but the university said in a statement it had the authority to suspend students immediately on an interim basis in the case of a felony arrest.
Hundreds of students in the university's Corps of Cadets, along with students and researchers using drones, assisted in the search for Lovell, the school said.

Doctors successfully separate 8-day-old conjoined twins

Doctors have successfully separated conjoined twin sisters fused at the liver and chest - the smallest pair ever to survive surgery.

Five surgeons, assisted by two nurses and six anaesthesiologists, carried out the successful, five-hour operation to separate the tiny identical twins at a hospital in Bern, Switzerland.
Maya and Lydia were born two months prematurely along with their triplet sister Kamilla in December.

They were initially stable and doctors at Inselspital hospital, Bern, had planned to allow them to settle after birth and separate them after a few months.

But after a week, their situation deteriorated dramatically: one suffering from hypertension and the other suffering from the opposite condition, known as hypotension.

Both conditions were life-threatening to the frail twins, who weighed just 2.4 pounds each, and the doctors decided their only chance was attempting surgery never before performed on such young infants.

Separating the babies' liver put both under massive pressure, said Barbara Wildhaber, head of the paediatric surgery unit at the Geneva University Hospital, who headed the team that carried out the surgery.

'We were prepared for the death of both babies, it was so extreme,' she told Swiss paper Le Matin Dimanche.

She added: 'It was magnificent. I will remember it my entire career.'

Since their surgery, Maya and Lydia have been recovering well, they have put on weight and have begun breast feeding, the paper reported.

The pair is among only about 200 separated conjoined twins currently living around the globe, it said.

Also known as Siamese twins, conjoined siblings are identical twins who in rare cases, about one in 200,000 live births, are born with their skin and internal organs fused together, according to the University of Maryland Medical Centre website.

About half are stillborn, and the survival rate is between five and 25 percent.

They develop from a single egg, which splits in the case of healthy twins, but not fully in the case of conjoined siblings.

Egypt arrests cartoonist for illegally running a webpage

An Egyptian cartoonist, whose work is occasionally critical of government figures, was arrested in the capital, Cairo, on Sunday and charged with running a webpage without a license, the country's Interior Ministry said in a statement.

The arrest of Islam Gaweesh appears to be part of an intensified clampdown on activists and journalists in Egypt, where many have been detained, questioned and even forcibly disappeared in recent months.

In custody, Gaweesh was told that the only charge actually against him so far was "publishing drawings that are offensive to the regime," his lawyer Mahmoud Othman told The Associated Press.

Most of Gaweesh's work dealt with the mundanities of life in Egypt. One of his most recent cartoons tackled the recent cold snap in the country by showing a man asking his love interest on the phone why she is cold in an effort to appear manly. "The weather is great," he says before being interrupted by a group of penguins in the window telling him to shut up.

One of the few cartoons Gaweesh has recently drawn that are critical of government figures targeted a foul-mouthed pro-government lawyer and lawmaker Mortada Mansour, who often threatens to beat his political opponents with his shoes. Earlier this month, Mansour was selected to head the parliament's human rights committee.

In Gaweesh's caricature, Mansour is shown standing next to a torturer and his victim saying: "Lash the lights out of him, but gently."

Ever since the military overthrew Islamist President Mohammed Morsi in 2013 amid mass protests against his rule, the government has launched a crackdown on dissent, killing hundreds of protesters and throwing thousands of Islamists in prison. Many of the young pro-democracy activists who spearheaded the 2011 uprising, which was partly sparked by government limitations on freedom of speech and expression, have been swept up in the campaign.

The statement from the Interior Ministry, which runs the police force in Egypt, said Gaweesh was arrested at the headquarters of the news website, Egypt News Network, which they raided on Sunday after official investigations revealed that it was publishing news without a license.

French president pardons French woman jailed after killing abusive husband

A Frenchwoman imprisoned for shooting dead her husband after nearly 50 years years of rape and incest has been granted a rare presidential pardon by the French president.

Jacqueline Sauvage, 68, had become a symbol of the scourge of domestic violence in France and a cause célèbre, with almost 400,000 people signing a petition calling on François Hollande to use his rarely used presidential right of pardon.

Ms Sauvage was married for 47 years to Norbert Marot, a violent alcoholic whom she said raped and beat her and her three daughters and also abused her son.

On September 10, 2012, the day after her son hanged himself, Ms Sauvage shot her husband three times in the back with a rifle.

She was found guilty of murder and sentenced to 10 years in prison in October 2014, which was upheld on appeal in December 2015 as the state rejected her pleas of self-defence.

The Socialist leader agreed to meet her three daughters and lawyers on Friday, and afterwards said he needed "time to think" before making the decision about the pardon.

On Sunday evening, his office said he had granted the pardon and that Ms Sauvage could immediately request her release.

“The president of the republic, faced with this exceptional human situation, wants to enable the return as soon as possible of Ms Sauvage to her family,” it said in a statement.

During his 2012 presidential campaign, Mr Hollande distanced himself from such pardons, reinstated by Napoleon, describing them as belonging to "a different concept of power".

He has granted only one to date, when he freed convicted bank robber Philippe El Shennawy – who had spent 38 years behind bars – in 2014.

When Ms Sauvage was sentenced, the activist group Osez le Feminisme (Dare To Be Feminist) called for the definition of self-defence to be expanded in cases of "female victims of violence".

Even Fleur Pellerin, Mr Hollande's culture minister, said she was "overwhelmed" by the testimonies of the daughters and said: "We are in the presence of an exceptional case."

Uncle convicted of murder after giving his niece a gun which she used to kill a teen over a Facebook dispute

A 27-year-old man has been convicted of murder after he gave his 14-year-old niece a revolver, which she then used to kill another teenager over a Facebook dispute.

A jury found him guilty of murder in the killing of the teen girl rejecting a claim by his defense attorney that the man was only trying to protect his niece when he brought a revolver to the confrontation that ended with Endia Martin dead.

Donnell Flora, 27, was found guilty of first-degree murder, attempted murder and aggravated battery charges in the death of 14-year-old Endia, who Cook County prosecutors say was shot by Flora's niece outside a home in Chicago's Back of the Yards neighborhood in April 2014.

The defense rested Friday, with Flora testifying that he brought the gun to the confrontation but never intended for the weapon to end up in his niece's hands. The shooting suspect, whom the Tribune is not naming because she has been charged as a juvenile, is now 16 and has yet to stand trial.

In closing arguments Saturday at the Leighton Criminal Court Building, prosecutors argued that had it not been for Flora, the .38-caliber revolver would have never arrived to the scene, and Endia would still be alive. He therefore had to be held accountable for his actions, said Assistant State's Attorney Barbara Bailey.

"Life is precious. No one knows that more than the family of Endia Martin. No one knows that more than the defendant," Bailey said.

Instead of protecting his niece from gun violence, Flora, who has used a wheelchair since a 2010 shooting left him paralyzed from the waist down, made her part of the cycle of violence, Bailey said.

"He became her provider — the provider of a handgun," Bailey said. "When there were about 1,000 other options that could've been taken by an adult, he chose to continue the cycle."

In arguing that Flora should be found not guilty, defense attorney Joel Brodsky brought up the role of self-defense in the case, claiming Flora's only intention in involving the gun in the confrontation was to protect his niece. Brodsky said the niece's rival, Lanekia Reynolds, who was also Endia's best friend and a witness to the killing who testified during the trial, had posted Facebook threats to Flora's niece.

"These were not mere threats," Brodsky said. "They were 'I'm going to kill you. I'm going to out you in the ground next to your dad.'"

Flora’s "only intent was to protect his niece," Brodsky said.

"It was not the brightest idea he ever had. But it doesn't change the fact that that was his intent."

But Assistant State's Attorney Athena Farmakis told jurors not to consider the self-defense argument because while Flora's niece had the revolver to the confrontation, Reynolds was armed with a chain with a lock.

"This, versus this?" Farmakis asked the jury, holding the lock in one hand and the revolver in the other. The lock couldn't possibly cause as much bodily harm as the gun, she said.

Endia's friends and family members were in court for the closing arguments, and sat still for the daylong proceedings, silently looking on.

The case went to the jury Saturday after hours of closing arguments, with jurors starting deliberations at 3:38 p.m. and coming back with their verdict just after 5:30 p.m.

After the verdict was read, as the jury left the room, Flora began rocking back and forth in his wheelchair and briefly put his head down.

Farmakis said her office was pleased with the verdict.

"We do believe that justice was done," Farmakis said.

After the verdict, Brodsky said he planned to appeal the jury's determination. He said he thinks "second-degree murder or child endangerment" would've been more appropriate for his client.

"It's a very difficult thing to see the body of a dead 14-year old girl ... and not want to make somebody have to pay for that," he said of the jury's decision.

Lagos medical doctors aggrieved by constant police harassment

Medical doctors under the umbrella of Association of General and Private Medical Practitioners of Nigeria, AGPMPN, Lagos State Chapter yesterday raised alarm over alleged frequent harassment of medical doctors by members of the Police force.

The Association’s Chairman, Dr. Adeyeye Arigbabuwo said that the recent incident which involved one of their colleagues, Dr. Olafisoye Odunayo of Awoyaya, Ibeju Lekki, being harassed by the Police for doing his job has left them with no other choice but to draw the attention of the public and relevant agencies to curb the Police from constantly harassing them.

Arigbabuwo explained that one of their colleagues operated on a female patient with Pre-Eclampsia, in December, last year, but lost the patient after surgery due to complications of surgery. He said the Doctor was harassed at his practice by the Police when the deceased family made a report to them.
He said:

“Following the death of one Mrs. Juliet Williams, the relations felt aggrieved and reported the case to the Police who came to arrest Dr. Odunayo. The doctor spent about two weeks in detention and was eventually released on bail with the condition to report periodically to the Elemoro Police Station.

“Barely three weeks after the bail, he was rearrested by another set of Police officers purported to be from Abuja on the instructions of the Inspector General of Police. What we found vexatious and demeaning of the arrest was the method employed in arresting him; he was handcuffed  in the full glare of his patients as if he were a  common criminal.”

The association asked for an unconditional and immediate release of Dr. Olafisoye, and any other doctor that may be in the custody of the Police in similar manner in Lagos State and across the country.

Group says British pilot killed by poachers in Tanzania

A British helicopter pilot was shot and killed while trying to stop elephant poachers in Tanzania, a conservation group said.
The pilot, Roger Gower, was killed Friday while working with the Texas-based Friedkin Conservation Fund, in a joint effort with Tanzanian wildlife authorities, to "track down and arrest active elephant poachers," according to a statement on the group's website.

"In the course of this action, the poachers fired upon the helicopter and Roger was fatally wounded."

"We are committed to honoring Roger and his work," Dan Friedkin, chairman of the group, said in the statement. "We are also committed to ensuring that those responsible for this attack are found and brought to justice. We believe that Roger can best be honored by redoubling our commitment to protect elephants and our priceless wildlife heritage. This tragic event again highlights the appalling risk and cost of protecting Tanzania¹s wildlife."

Gower was flying in the Maswa Game Reserve, near Serengeti National Park, trying to track down poachers who had killed an elephant, according to tweets from Lazaro Nyalandu, Tanzania's former minister for natural resources and tourism. Gower managed to land the helicopter after being hit by fire from an AK-47. Gower "sadly died before his rescue," Nyalandu wrote.

"You loved our country and I knew you on many flights we took together in defence of our wildlife heritage."

Britain's Foreign Office confirmed the death of a Briton in Tanzania and said it was "providing assistance to the family at this difficult time," the Associated Press reported.

Poaching is fueled by a demand for ivory from Asia, according to the World Wildlife Federation. Yet demand for ivory in China appears to be falling, according to a December report from Save the Elephants, which notes that the price for ivory has fallen by nearly half since 2014.

Man arrested for blackmailing late M.K.O Abiola’s wife

Caleb Nzube, a 26 year old man who attempted to blackmail the wife of late Chief MKO Abiola of $5,000, was last week arrested in Anambra State.
According to reports, Nzube allegedly hacked the Twitter handle of Mrs Tinu Abiola, downloaded her picture and designed a web page showing her carrying a human skull.

He then threatened to expose the web page to the world if the she did not pay $5,000.
Mrs Abiola in turn, refused to be blackmailed so she contacted Inspector General, Solomon Arase, who directed a combined team of the Inspector General Monitoring Team and the Intelligence Response Team to track down the suspect.

He was arrested when the operatives stormed his hideout in Obosi.

It was gathered that Mrs Abiola was not the suspect’s only victim, it was leanred that he was harassing 2 other people.
According to Vanguard, Caleb Elom Nzube admitted that he is an internet fraudster who specialised in online dating before diverting into blackmail.
He said:

“I started following Mrs Timu Alade Abiola on Twitter and I got her pictures. I felt she was a good catch and I decided to blackmail her. I used Photoshop to make it look like she was carrying a human skull. I designed a web page with a little gossip story on it that she was caught for ritual.

"I sent her the link and when she saw it I demanded she pays me $5000 or I will show it to the whole world. One of her friends came in and begged that I shouldn’t do it and that they were ready to pay me $ 2000. I rejected the money, insisting that I must collect the amount I demanded".

"Later they discovered I was Igbo and they gave my number to an Igbo girl who started talking to me and I accepted their offer, what got me angry was that while we were still talking, they sent a fishing link that destroyed my website which I have been maintaining for more than four years. That website had paid me little money I have used in sustaining myself".

"I told the Igbo girl about it and that if I don’t get the money before the end of the week I will show the web page to the whole world. She asked for my account, I gave it to her but before I knew what was happening, the police came and arrested me".

"I don’t understand why she has to bring in the police; I told the girl that what I needed was for her to tell her madam to just pay me for my website they destroyed. In fact I regret all this, if I had known it will be this messy I would have not ventured into this. What I do is only dating. I just wanted to try my luck on this one.”

Barren Woman Pours Acid On Her Husband; Thought It Was A Love Portion!

“The woman who gave me a substance told me that it was a charm meant to endear my husband to me. I never knew that what she gave me was acid. All I was trying to do was to keep my husband’s love so that he would not think of leaving me, because I know that my marriage with any other man would not endure because of my barrenness.”

These were that words of Remi Agunbiade (38), a resident of Ita Barika, Foko area of Ibadan, Oyo State, after she was arrested by the policemen from Iyaganku Division over an alleged attempt to kill her husband, one Olawale Shola, by pouring acid on him on January 27, 2016.

The incident occurred less than 24 hours after a similar happening at Oje area of Ibadan where a man allegedly poured a bottle of acid on the mother of his two kids for reasons best known to him. But the difference is that while the Oje suspect ran away after committing the act, the Foko victim, Shola prevented his assailant from escaping as he ran after her and held her until neighbours came to assist him in preventing the lady from running away.

Crime Reports learnt that the Foko incident happened at about 9a.m while Shola was lying down in a room he stayed with his partner, Remi.

In an interview with Remi after her arrest, the lady, who also got some of the acid on her skin, claimed ignorance of the substance she poured on her partner, saying that she thought it was a love charm.

According to her, “I met Shola in 2003 and we have been together since then. He was the one who forced me to abort for him twice, and since then, I have not been able to get pregnant again. Then, he had a wife with two kids.

“When I had my first pregnancy, he said that his wife was also pregnant with their third child, asking me to abort mine, which I did. He used to schedule his stay between the two of us. We used to quarrel often and this got me worried because I knew that if he left me, I would not be able to have another steady relationship since no man would be willing to live with a barren woman.

“I met a lady called Iya Azeez at a provision stall at Agbeni market, Ibadan. During our discussion, I intimated her of my challenges and said that I didn’t want to leave my husband. She replied that I would have to resolve the issue through self-help. I asked for assistance to stop further quarrels between me and my husband and she said she would help me get water that had been prayed into from an Alfa, stating that all I would need to do is to sprinkle it on my husband, after which he would love me without holding anything back. She gave me a bottle containing the liquid substance on Tuesday, January 26.

“On Wednesday morning, my partner, Shola, was lying down when I took the bottle and poured the content on his head. He cried in agony from sleep and I also shouted and ran out. But he followed me and caught up with me beside the house next to ours.

“He asked people to help him hold me so that I would not run away. By then, a huge crowd had gathered and it was then they started saying that it was acid that I poured him. Some of the liquid got rubbed on my body when he held me, giving me some burns.”

The suspect claimed that she did not know the residence of the friend who gave her the purported bottle of liquid, saying that she only met the lady about two months ago. She confirmed that she quarrelled with her husband concerning accommodation, since she already told him that she was tired of living with him in a room she rented herself.

“I decided to pack everything out of the room to another place, leaving it bare. His friends intervened and he came to sleep in the room with me on Tuesday. My action was because I didn’t want to have another husband.”

She also disclosed that her husband started dating another lady in her neighbourhood about three years ago, and that the lady used to scorn her childlessness. Remi added that her husband rented a room for the lady.

Crime Reports was also at the Burns Unit of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan where the victim was on admission. He narrated his experience thus: “Remi and I have been together for over 11 years. My relationship with her caused a friction between her and my first wife who has four children for me.

“I used to defend Remi anytime she had a quarrel with my first wife, especially because she had yet to have a child. At a time, I abandoned my first wife to be with Remi when the first wife cursed Remi and said she would never have any child till she would quit relationship with me.

“Also about three years ago, I started dating a lady. This caused Remi to be threatening her. She even went as far as quarrelling with the lady. Last year, I discovered that my first wife was already dating another man because of the neglect she suffered from me. As a result, I called Remi in October 2015 and told her that I would have to share days of the week between her and my first wife. Initially, she was angry at my suggestion but later said I should start in January 2016.

“I went to my first wife twice in January and by the I returned to Remi’s place, she had changed the lock and had packed all her belongings and mine. She also collected my phone from me under the pretext that she wanted to use it. After my friend’s intervention, she returned on Monday, January 25. But I went to sleep in the third lady’s house. On Tuesday, I went to Remi’s place and stayed there with her in the bare room.

“On Wednesday, I was lying down, waiting for a friend. Suddenly, I felt a warm liquid on me. As I opened my eyes, I saw as she was about to run out and I went after her. I raised the alarm and people came. I told them that she had already threatened that she would do an unforgettable thing to me. That was how I was rushed to the hospital.”

Shola admitted asking Remi to have an abortion in the past, but said it was only once.

The Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, who confirmed the story, said that the suspect was still undergoing investigation, adding that she would be arraigned to court at the conclusion of investigation.

Ajisebutu warned members of the public against adopting acid as a weapon of revenge, saying that the act was criminal.

I Prefer Sex Toys To Men, Because Men Are Unreliable - Joju Maryam Muse

Tinsel star, Joju Maryam Muse, has disclosed that sex toys are more reliable and trustworthy than most boyfriends.

Muse, who is still single, said most African men cannot stand a woman who is more successful than them.

In a recent chat with New Telegraph, the model and budding songstress hinted that she would rather satisfy her sexual urge with her own hands or employ the use of sex toys.

On the use of sex toys to avoid multiple sexual partners, she said, “A lot of people mistake using sex toys for an addiction to masturbation but to me, it’s not an addiction.

“Addiction to masturbation is when you allow the act to control your life. But we will only be silly as human beings to deny some facts. Even animals touch themselves; it would only be hypocritical for a human being to say, ‘I don’t touch myself’ or to say that he or she hasn’t used a sex toy before.

“Anyway, there are people who may not have used it, but they make use of their hands. And instead of even sleeping around, use sex toys otherwise you’d be exposing your life to too many STDs and aftermaths of unprotected sex.

“I’ve not found the right man; most African men don’t know how to cope with a lady who is becoming more prosperous than them. They want to stand in her way.

“Everyone has gone through heartbreak before. Yes, I suffered terrible heartbreak before and from a man I really loved with all my heart, but then I’ve moved on.

“I like to explain myself because people feel that I’m weird which I like and it’s because most people don’t know how to handle blunt truth.

“So, knowing that you cannot preach abstinence to a sexually active adult, all you have to do is to preach precaution,” the thespian added.

Woman Dies After Getting HIV/AIDS From Sexual Affair With Senator Hope Uzodinma

Nze Ebubeagu Ekenulo is an activist, a businessman, with interests, in real estate publishing and car hire service. His wife, Hon.Ukachi Amaechi who lost her life in December, 2015 after HIV complications was buried yesterday.

He spoke to ANAYO OHAEKELEM on how Senator Hope Uzodinma allegedly infected his wife, Ukachi Ekenulo aka Ukachi Amaechi a former member of  Imo State House of Assembly with HIV. Excerpts:

Senator Hope Uzodinma is my Senator. I want to be proud, that have a responsible and credible Senator. Also everyone from that Orlu zone, who is close to the senator know his up bringing and background will accept he ever got admitted into any University, not to talk of graduating from FUTO because we all knew him in his growing up days.
As far as I am concerned Sen. Hope Uzodinma is a secondary school dropout. He worked in a bakery in Lagos and also worked as a driver to Maurice and Goddy Ibekwe. He was also a driver to the Evuleocha family in Mbaise. None of these people will tell you that this man ever went to FUTO or any University. Why would a Senator who didn’t attend any University be lying?

On my marriage, I am a victim of Sen.Hope Uzodinma. I was married to a young woman I trained in the University. The lady finished from the University as a teenager, after which she did her youth service at my office in Lagos. She never worked or engaged in any business. She was in my house, I was taking very good care of her, Somehow we ran into Owelle Rochas Okorocha, and we started politics, then it was All Nigerians People Party (ANPP) that was how my wife  Mrs. Ukachi Ekenulo joined politics, with my approval and my consent, I trusted her a hundred percent.

The next thing my wife was HIV Positive.
Before that time, I have been hearing that my wife is messing up with sen. Hope Uzodinma. You know of course if someone’s wife is messing up, her husband will be the last person to know. People will know and will be gossiping about it but you the husband will be the last person to know. Then I took my time and investigated and discovered that my wife was actually messing up with Hope Uzodinma.

After my investigation I discovered that something was actually going on and I discovered my wife was actually HIV Positive. She went to Advance Medical Centre Owerri and conducted a test and it was then she called me that she was HIV Positive. I said you have HIV she said yes, I said how come she said she doesn’t know I now told her to take the next available flight to Lagos and she did. Upon her arrival in Lagos, I took her to Havana Specialist Hospital Limited, Surelere, Lagos, and a test was conducted on both of us and she was positive and I was negative.

I still didn’t believe it.
We went to Lagos State Teaching  Hospital (LUTH) and a test was conducted again on both of us and hers was positive and mine was negative. We now went to World Health Organization Centre, Yaba, for another test and it was the same thing. So gentlemen of the press it was then I now believed that she is HIV positive.

You know what I did?
I wrote a letter to Sen. Hope Uzodinma I posted the letter to him with the results of the series of test conducted on both of us and told him to please leave her alone, that I have heard that he is messing up with my wife. But after that, do you know what happened?
My wife moved out of her matrimonial home to Sen. Hope Uzodinma’s house in Abuja. You know Uzodinma has no wife, He divorced his wife since 1996 and since then he is yet to re-marry. My wife abandoned her kids and her marriage.

What I heard was Sen. Uzodinma boasting all over the place that he wants to marry my wife, a woman with four children although a boy and a girl are dead, but two girls are still alive.
When I discovered all these, I complained to very close friends of Hope Uzodinma, people I thought are responsible and told them that my wife is HIV positive, you know the saying that  bird of the same feather flock together, so they started saying all sort of things about me.

One of them even told me that a man who is broke, if they collect his wife is it a bad thing? This person is not as rich as I am, he is not from the kind of family background I come from. I come from the family background that except God, nothing on earth can make me poor. Before I was born my parents were rich, my grandparents were wealthy.

Do you still love your ex-wife?
We are not talking about love here. It is not an issue of love, the issue here is this are people who are HIV positive, they are spreading it everywhere in high and low places. Sen. Hope Uzodinma is busy sleeping with all sorts of women, including married women and prostitutes. He destroyed the marriage of one time minister of petroleum and moved in with his wife, Ngozi. My ex-wife is also busy sleeping around.

When you say Hope Uzodinma sleeps with married women besides your wife, do you have other examples and proofs?
I have a lot of examples to give but I can’t talk about other people’s wives. I can talk of my wife because I have legal and moral authority to say what I am saying. I know of other women, infact one of them died either in 2012 or 2013 of HIV, a married woman. But I cannot begin to mention names.
