From the outset, we deliberately placed cooperatives at the centre of our economic strategy. We have revived seed capital financing by disbursing over ₦1.6 billion in interest-free revolving loans, clearing withheld deductions, and strengthening cooperative institutions statewide. Where roads and bridges may not yet reach, economic empowerment through cooperatives is reaching our people. With the establishment of the Ministry of Cooperatives and Empowerment, the rehabilitation of the Cooperative College at Ode-Omu, expansion of ward-based cooperatives, and targeted support for women, youths, persons with disabilities, and the diaspora, we are putting economic power directly in the hands of the people.
