Meet Engr Saidu Aliyu Muhammad, the newly appointed CEO of Nigeria Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) following the resignation of Engr Farouq Ahmad yesterday. Engr Aliyu, Graduate of Chemical Engineering from ABU Zaria, has over 40 years of core industry experience including MD of Kaduna Refinery and Boards of multiple O&G Companies. I wish him all the best in his new role.

Asphalt Laying Progresses on Old Kachia Road–Flour Mills Bypass Corridor Asphalt laying is now actively underway on the vital corridor linking Old Kachia Road (by the Zenith Bank Roundabout) to the Flour Mills axis at the Bypass. The project, which was abandoned shortly after commencement by the previous administration, has been fully revived under the leadership of Governor Uba Sani. Through decisive action, sustained funding, and the remobilisation of the contractor, the project has recorded remarkable progress and reached an impressive stage as of December 2025. This renewed momentum is set to ease mobility, reduce traffic congestion, and stimulate commercial activities along the entire corridor—underscoring the administration’s commitment to modern, durable, and people-centred infrastructure.
